The weather looks like its going to hold. See you at the depot
It is supposed to be raining Sunday. If it isn’t, we will ride from the depot at 9. It isn’t raining as of Saturday morning though. The rain is supposed to hold off until a little after 12. Get out and ride on your own if you can. Try to work in some longer intervals. Two to four 5 minute intervals would be good.
I hope to see you Sunday, but the forecast says rain.
I’m going to lead a small ride today at 4:00 from the school. There is rain on the horizon for the next few days, then we start tapering for Laguna Seca. So get out and ride when you can!
The ride is on. It is drizzling, but doesn’t look like it will get any worse. I am riding!
Team meeting Thursday at lunch in Hartquist’s room (152). You all did really well at GB Sunday! I would like to to hear about each of your race experiences, what went well, what didn’t etc so we can tailor our practice rides a little better. Per Christy’s post, we have our regular Wed ride tomorrow at 3:30. Plan is to get some steady climbs in. Headlands loops – Getting ready for Laguna Seca!
Ride Wed is at 3:30, weather permitting. I won’t be there, but Christy will lead with Nancy, Jack and Hartquist. Please keep the ride short and sweet. 4 days to GB. You should all try to get in 5-10 mins of high intensity intervals.
Cool article on Collegiate Mountain Bike Racing in the April – Mountain Bike Action magazine. Titled “Everything You Need to Know about Collegiate Racing” In case you’re interested
I just want to let you know why I missed the ride yesterday. On super short notice, I had a surgical procedure to relieve some nerve pressure in my back that has been bothering me for some time. I am already walking (gingerly) and working. I am not supposed to ride for “a few weeks” though. This will be the longest I’ve been off the bike in 25 or more years! This shouldn’t stop me from being at our practice rides, races etc. I hope to see you Wednesday.
