Happy Holidays!

By | December 20th, 2013|

Hey riders, it’s been fun getting out to ride the past month. Great seeing everyone from last year and getting to know our new riders too. We don’t have any team rides scheduled until Sunday, Jan. 12th, after you get back from break. However, the weather might not be so good for skiing, but it’s pretty good for riding. Getting out over the break will help give you a big leg up when we reconvene in January. Feel free to use this page as well as the team Facebook page to organize among yourselves if you want.   Also, you should have received an email from Nancy about shoe and pedal deals at Tam Bikes, contact her if you did not.  Please take advantage of this if you aren’t already on clip less pedals.  We really need everyone on clip less pedals when we start out next year.  Waiting until the first race will set you back significantly.

Have a safe and happy holiday!!!

Riding from the HIGH SCHOOL Sunday 12/15 at 9:00

By | December 12th, 2013|

Ride Sunday 12/15 will be from the HIGH SCHOOL at 9:00. We will meet near the Front Parking lot and head out to the Headlands. I would like to introduce the newer riders to one of our early season staples. There is a NorCal girls skills clinic that I believe most of the girls are going to, but any girls not going to the clinic are welcome to join us.

Ride leader Steve G sent me this video on cornering by Fabien Barel. He goes over the basics of body positioning for maximum traction. Check it out

Sunday 12/8 Team Ride

Due to the cold weather, tomorrow’s ride is optional.

If you chose to ride dress appropriately – full finger gloves, base layer under your jersey, leg warmers, jacket or vest and warm socks.

Ride Sunday 12/8 9:00 from the Depot

By | December 4th, 2013|

We’re going to have another ride from the Depot this Sunday 12/8 at 9:00. We are hoping to have enough ride leaders that we can break things up so that some riders can continue on to a longer route, while some of us keep it a bit shorter. I would like to take most you down a different route from last Sunday.

It was great to actually get out and ride last week. Anyone who had a hard time climbing up Railroad, please don’t get discouraged. From our experience last year, it will get much easier and we will do our best to work in some more interesting stuff.

Ride leaders, please let me know if you plan to make it. Thanks
